Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Aleksei Boyka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juul Hupperts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Juul Hupperts is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Aleksei Boyka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Juul Hupperts! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hupperts closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Boyka is trying to control Hupperts's posture but Hupperts avoids it. Hupperts tries to move into full mount but can't pass Boyka's legs. You can see the frustration on Boyka's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Hupperts working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Hupperts goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Boyka rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Hupperts's guard! Nice work there by Boyka! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Boyka engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hupperts pulls Boyka in close to prevent any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boyka is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Hupperts keeping full guard, as Boyka tries to pass. Boyka passes easily into side control. Nice work. Boyka goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Hupperts rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Boyka's guard! Nice work there by Hupperts!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hupperts postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Boyka trying to strike off his back.
Hupperts avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Hupperts trying to control the position from guard on top but Boyka is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Boyka looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Hupperts drops back, looking for a kneebar! Boyka looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Boyka looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Boyka! You can see the frustration on Hupperts's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boyka trying to control the position but Hupperts is working away. Hupperts tries to get back to half guard but can't. Boyka wants to control for a moment but Hupperts uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Hupperts has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Boyka is working away from the top position though. Hupperts works his way to full guard. Good work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Boyka trying to control the position from guard on top but Hupperts is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Boyka postures up.
Boyka wants to control from the top but Hupperts keeps moving. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Juul Hupperts will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Hupperts looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Hupperts wants to control from the top but Boyka keeps moving. Boyka has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hupperts can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hupperts wants to control from the top but Boyka keeps moving. Hupperts trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. We've been hearing good reports from Boyka's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Boyka lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Boyka drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Boyka as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Hupperts screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Boyka! Nice submission victory there!
