Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paco Gutierrez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grigoris Manotis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grigoris Manotis told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gutierrez gets a takedown into half guard.
Manotis is pressing down on Gutierrez's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Manotis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gutierrez can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Gutierrez lands a couple of elbows.
Gutierrez has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Gutierrez postures up in Manotis's guard and throws a big left but Manotis blocks it.
Manotis working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gutierrez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gutierrez manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Manotis is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gutierrez is aware though and is defending well.

Manotis looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gutierrez is looking to stand up but Manotis isn't so interested in that idea.
Gutierrez has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Manotis drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Manotis as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Gutierrez screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Manotis! Nice submission victory there!

Paco Gutierrez was interviewed post fight and said 'I ain't workin at no McDonald, partner - you'll see me back in here, and I'll be better than ever!'.
