The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Proctor closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Makers swings away with a body shot that misses
and Proctor counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Makers just misses with a punch to the body.
Makers lands a head shot.
Proctor staying out of range there.
Proctor attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Proctor ducks under a wild hook from Makers.
Makers scores with a crisp jab that stopped Proctor in his tracks.

Makers lands a big uppercut and Proctor crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Proctor looks OK. Makers waves Proctor back to his feet!

Mark Makers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Makers throws a hook but Proctor blocks it.

Makers steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Proctor. That one must have hurt.

Proctor throws a half hearted mid kick.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Proctor misses with a kick to the body.
Makers connects with a good right hand that stumbles Proctor. Proctor circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Makers misses with a lunging right hand
and Proctor counters with a head kick that drops Makers to the mat! Makers scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Makers is rocked!
Makers walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Makers limp body while Proctor jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Michael Proctor!
After the fight, Michael Proctor was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
