And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uvol swats away the attempt to clinch by Sanchez.

Uvol fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sanchez sprawls well initially but Uvol persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We've been hearing that Uvol has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Sanchez looks like he's trying to stand up.
Uvol wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sanchez keeps working.
Sanchez should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Sanchez wants to control but Uvol is keeping busy.

Uvol is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Sanchez sees it coming and defends easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sanchez keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Uvol prevents Sanchez from standing back up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Uvol trying to mount his opponent but Sanchez defends it.
Sanchez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Uvol. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Uvol is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Sanchez sees it coming and defends easily.

Uvol has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Sanchez defend it? Uvol steps over the head and cranks it - Sanchez is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Uvol!
