Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Arnavut Sevket (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Arnavut Sevket!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Antonio Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Dirk Anderson and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sevket lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.


It looks like Antonio Gracie has been cut.

Gracie shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gracie showed some decent athleticism there.
Gracie controlling the action here.
Gracie is trying to control the action in half guard but Sevket is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sevket is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Elorde MMA (ELITE LEVEL TRAINING W/ ELITE COACHES), so we'll see if he gets out of it.

Sevket is looking to improve his position.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Sevket scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Sevket wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Sevket ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Sevket scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Gracie walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Sevket misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Gracie.

Gracie is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Sevket's half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gracie wants to control but Sevket is keeping him busy.
Gracie prevents Sevket from improving his position.
Sevket is staying active underneath Gracie, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Gracie has control of Sevket's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Sevket regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Gracie trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Sevket manages to work a leg through to get back to half guard here. Good work there by Sevket, under a barage of strikes from Gracie.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Arnavut Sevket will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Antonio Gracie's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Sevket works Gracie's body with a nice hook.
Sevket looks to land a left hand but Gracie moved out of range nicely.

Sevket closes the distance and pushes Gracie back into the cage.
Gracie blocks an uppercut.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Sevket works on Gracie's body with a couple of short punches.
Sevket lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Sevket doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sevket working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Sevket can't find room to land a body shot as Gracie controls the action.
Gracie blocks an uppercut.
Sevket gets through Gracie's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Gracie has Sevket pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Gracie pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Sevket tumbling to the mat - Gracie dives into Sevket's guard.
Gracie wants to pass the guard but Sevket is keeping the position.
Gracie is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Gracie has gone for a leg lock! Sevket slips out almost immediately though and dives into Gracie's guard.

Gracie is trying to keep Sevket in close.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gracie is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sevket doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sevket manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Gracie wants to sweep here but Sevket controlling him for the moment.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Gracie is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sevket is aware though and is defending well.
Gracie looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sevket is one step ahead there.
Sevket wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Sevket throws a body punch but Gracie moves out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Arnavut Sevket dominated that second round.

That's time! Sevket's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Gracie uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sevket.
Gracie takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Sevket dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Sevket lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Gracie at a distance.
Sevket scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Sevket is looking to wear down Gracie with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Sevket tries to clinch there but Gracie circles away.
Sevket scores with a one two! Gracie had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Gracie walks into a stiff left hand from Sevket.


Gracie is rocked!


That has opened up Antonio Gracie's cut even more.
Arnavut Sevket is winning the standup battle so far.
Sevket missing with a left hand there. Gracie was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Gracie is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Sevket's half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gracie wants to pass the guard but Sevket is defending well.

Gracie is keen to just control but Sevket is a slippery customer.
Gracie is thwarting Sevket's attempts to control the position.
Sevket tries to get to full guard but Gracie has control of the leg.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Gracie in particular looking to stall.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Gracie avoids the body shot from Sevket.
Sevket swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Gracie.
Jab, jab by Sevket - just one landing.
Gracie throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Sevket throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Gracie looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Sevket seems keen to control Gracie's posture.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gracie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sevket swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Sevket pulls Gracie in close to his closed guard and prevents Gracie from doing any damage or advancing position.
Sevket bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gracie's guard.

Sevket slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Sevket trying to move into half guard but instead Gracie has managed to sweep!


That's four minutes gone in the round.
Gracie advances position into side control!
Gracie tries to move to mount but Sevket blocks the move with his legs.
Gracie trying to control the action but Sevket is working from the bottom.

And that's the end of the fight!
Arnavut Sevket showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sevket, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
