Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Zack Mooneyham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bo Sherk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Zack Mooneyham has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zack Mooneyham! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bo Sherk! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, David Schapiro and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mooneyham throws a leg kick which misses Sherk's front leg but catches the back leg as Sherk tries to avoid it. No luck with that takedown attempt from Sherk. Mooneyham tries to counter by clinching up but Sherk breaks away and moves out of range. Sherk looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Good leg kick by Mooneyham there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Sherk closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Mooneyham did well to prevent Sherk getting side control. Mooneyham trying to control here.
Mooneyham is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Mooneyham tries to get to full guard but Sherk has control of the leg. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mooneyham is controlling Sherk's position as best he can from this difficult position. Sherk throwing shots but Mooneyham is blocking nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sherk is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Sherk sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Sherk goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Mooneyham turns into him and now he's in Sherk's guard.
Mooneyham gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Mooneyham lands with a kick to the temple. Sherk shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Sherk moves out of range of the body kick. Sherk moves into the clinch. Sherk controlling the action here for a moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Sherk tightens his grip and picks Mooneyham up, before dumping him to the ground. Mooneyham manages to land in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sherk trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Mooneyham is looking to stand up but Sherk isn't so interested in that idea. Sherk slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Mooneyham. Sherk throwing shots but Mooneyham is blocking nicely. Sherk keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Sherk is keen to just control but Mooneyham is a slippery customer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sherk is thwarting Mooneyham's attempts to control the position. Sherk thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mooneyham's head. Mooneyham has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sherk is working away from the top position though. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Sherk is keen to just control but Mooneyham is a slippery customer.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Mooneyham throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Mooneyham fakes the leg kick and cracks Sherk in the body. Mooneyham lands a big head kick that sends Sherk tumbling to the mat! Mooneyham takes a step backwards and waves Sherk back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Sherk is rocked!
It looks like Bo Sherk has been cut. Crunch! Mooneyham slams his shin into Sherk's torso. Sherk is still on wobbly legs! Can Mooneyham finish him? Mooneyham tries a head kick but it misses.
Sherk seems to have recovered his senses. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mooneyham throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Sherk looks winded! Mooneyham scores with a head kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ohhhhhhhhhh, brutal head kick from Mooneyham! This one is all over!
