Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Giordano Bruno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bruno comes to the cage accompanied by Preliator. On his way into the cage it seems that Giordano Bruno has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Giordano Bruno seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Giordano Bruno! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Billy Bob! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bob throws a good cross that connects.
Bruno lands with a good body shot. Bob checks the leg kick nicely there.
Bruno throws a sloppy head kick and Bob moves out of range easily. Bob just misses with a punch to the body.
Bruno throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Bob counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Bob lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Bruno at a distance.
Bob throws a one two combo.
Bob connects with a nice looking jab.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bob lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Bruno sprawling to the canvas. Bob follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Bruno hang on?
Bruno is rocked!
It looks like Giordano Bruno has been cut. Bruno is looking to control Bob's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bruno avoid being mounted? Oh Bruno is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Bob missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Bob is thwarting Bruno's attempts to control the position. Bruno seems to have got his legs back now. Bob seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Bob not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Bob is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bob prevents Bruno from improving his position. Bob looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bruno with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Bob misses with a head shot. Bruno uses the momentum to regain guard. Bob throwing strikes but missing. Bruno looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Bob stopping the sweep attempt from Bruno. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bruno is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Bob landing with the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bruno looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Bruno working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bob doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bob manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Bob postures up in Bruno's guard and throws a big left but Bruno blocks it. Bob pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bruno is keeping the position for now. Bruno is trying to control the position but Bob postures up. Bruno is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Bob is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Bob wants to control from the top but Bruno keeps moving. Bruno might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bob in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Bruno seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Bruno is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Bob stopping the sweep attempt from Bruno.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Bruno scores with a punch to the head. Bruno misses with a telegraphed body shot
letting Bob counter with a right hand. Bruno throws the left hand but Bob avoids the punch easily. It seemed like Bob was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Bruno fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Bob on the side of the head. Bruno's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Bob connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Bruno scrambles back to his feet. Bob pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Bruno swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Bruno throws a lazy uppercut
enabling Bob to counter with a crisp jab. Bob ducks under a wild hook from Bruno. Bob tries to counter by closing the distance. Bruno misses with a wild body shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bob throws a body kick that misses. A head kick by Bob misses and Bruno counters with a solid body kick. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bob cracks Bruno with an uppercut from hell and Bruno crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Bob's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
Bob throwing strikes from guard but Bruno blocks nicely. Bruno has his foot on Bob's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bob works his way back into a safe position though. Bruno is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bob is aware though and is defending well. Bob landing some decent shots from guard. Bruno looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Bob is defending well. Bruno quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Bob has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Bruno celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Giordano Bruno! As Giordano Bruno got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: Domine Iesu, Per vagitus Tui in praesepio pro me nascentis, Per lacrimas Tui in cruce pro me morientis, Per amorem Tui in tabernaculo pro me viventis, Miserere mei et salva me.
