30 - 17 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dick Dingleberry! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Martin with a lazy takedown attempt and Dingleberry counters with a lovely shot to the body. Dingleberry stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dingleberry wants it to stay on the feet. Martin shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Dingleberry counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andrew Martin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dingleberry misses with a straight left. We've been told by Martin's head coaches at Xtreme HGH Fight Club (best in Amsterdam) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Martin closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dingleberry circles away. Martin will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Martin closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dingleberry to the mat! Dingleberry manages to get full guard. Dingleberry is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dingleberry keeping moving, preventing Martin from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Martin postures up.
