PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cerebrinho Da Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Carson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carson has chosen Till I Collapse as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Da Souza lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Carson rushes Da Souza and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Da Souza fails to pull guard.

Da Souza jumps guard but Carson stands there with Da Souza around his waist. Da Souza gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Carson jumps guard and drags Da Souza to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Carson is pulling down on Da Souza's head to control his posture.
Da Souza wants to control from the top but Carson keeps moving.

Carson has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Da Souza off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Carson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Carson showed some decent athleticism there.
Carson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Carson is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Da Souza knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Da Souza for a finish.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
