Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jon Calderwood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ike Nuts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jon Calderwood! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ike Nuts! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Matheus Silva and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nuts misses with a jab, cross combination.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Calderwood. Nuts rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Calderwood moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Nuts shoots in for a takedown but Calderwood shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Calderwood shoots in and drives through. Nuts sprawls well. Nuts misses with a series of wild punches.

Calderwood drops down looking for a counter takedown but Nuts sprawls and moves away. Nuts throws a right and a left that Calderwood avoids nicely. A combination from Nuts does no damage. Nuts doesn't manage to clinch there - Calderwood circles away.
Calderwood closes the distance and clinches up with Nuts, looking for a takedown. Calderwood pushes Nuts against the cage but Nuts circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jon Calderwood. That's going to take a lot out of him. Calderwood shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Nuts pinned against the cage. Nuts gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Nuts drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Calderwood not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Nuts stands and steps away. Calderwood gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. A slapping leg kick lands for Calderwood.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Nuts wanted to stand there but Calderwood had control of the position. Nuts with a flurry of punches that miss. Nuts must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Nuts throws a big elbow that misses. Nuts wanted to stand there but Calderwood had control of the position. Nuts trying to control but Calderwood is working from the bottom. Nuts stands up over Calderwood, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Nuts accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Calderwood shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Nuts but Nuts pushes him off and we're back to square one. Nuts shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Calderwood is trying to defend but Nuts finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Nuts thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Calderwood's head. Nuts wants to stand up but Calderwood has a hold of him and won't allow it. Nuts lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Nuts drops an elbow to the side of Calderwood's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nuts slips a nice elbow through Calderwood's hands, connecting with Calderwood's forehead. Nuts stands up out of the half guard. Nuts looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Calderwood gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Calderwood is breathing heavily. Nuts stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Calderwood has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Nuts manages to get his head free but now Calderwood has transitioned to an armbar! Nuts grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Calderwood! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
