Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Phal Um (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christophe Duggary (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duggary has chosen Tool - Forty Six & 2 as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Phal Um! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Christophe Duggary! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Um has taken the fight to the clinch.
Um lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Duggary backwards. Duggary wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Um escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Duggary smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Um digs a good hook to Duggary's body.
Duggary moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. A right-left combo lands from Um. Um ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Um scores with a sloppy right hand. Duggary should have avoided that one. Um throws out a loose jab but Duggary uses good head movement to avoid it. Duggary misses with an uppercut. Um ducks under a wild hook from Duggary. Duggary keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Um. Duggary tries a head kick but it misses.

and Um counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Duggary's guard now. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Duggary pulls Um in to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Duggary controls Um momentarily but Um frees himself. Duggary is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Duggary looking to control.
Um pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Duggary is keeping the position for now. Um is stalling in the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Duggary wants to sweep but no luck. Duggary trying to control the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Duggary throws out a powerful jab. Jab, jab by Um - just one landing. Um tries to clinch but Duggary is having none of it. Nice defenses there by Duggary. Duggary doesn't succeed with the takedown and Um counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Duggary shoots in for a double leg but Um sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Duggary looks gassed! A punch lands to the side of Duggary 's head but he takes it in his stride. Duggary takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Duggary on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Um is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Um feints and as Duggary raises his hands in defense, Um changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Um will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Um controlling from the top position. Um trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Um not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Duggary looking to sweep here. No luck so far. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Phal Um dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Duggary swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Um uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Duggary. Duggary throws a leg kick but Um moved away. Um throws a jab when Duggary was well out of range. Phal Um seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Um gets the takedown into side control. Um cracks Duggary with a big elbow. Um taking a breather here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Um working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Um is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Phal Um just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Duggary misses the shot to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Duggary lands with a shot to the body. Duggary slips under a jab. Duggary lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Um gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Duggary. Jab from Um. A big left from Duggary misses. Duggary misses with a looping right. Um drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Duggary trying to keep a closed guard but Um is proving a slippery customer.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Um seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Um loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Um stays in close to Duggary's body and controls the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Phal Um dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Um looking to pass the guard. Um is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Duggary wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Um is now in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Still in half guard, Um seems content to control. Duggary is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Um pulls his head out easily. Duggary is looking for a sweep. Um is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Christophe Duggary has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Duggary takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Duggary trying to control from the bottom.
Still in half guard, Um seems content to control. Um has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Phal Um is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Um wants to free his trapped foot but Duggary is holding on for dear life with his legs. Um slows the pace down in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Phal Um just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Um drives through with a takedown into guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Um is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
And that's the end of the fight! Phal Um showed his dominance in that final round. Well Um has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
