The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saarenp�� scores with a jab to the body.
Nyrkki tries to close the distance and clinch up but Saarenp�� swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Nyrkki scores with a hook to the body. Saarenp�� takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Saarenp�� is pressed up against the cage. Nyrkki has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Saarenp�� down to the mat. Saarenp�� avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

and Saarenp�� counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Saarenp�� jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Nyrkki throws a sloppy head kick
and Saarenp�� counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Nyrkki swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Saarenp�� counters with a nice right hand that sends Nyrkki toppling to the canvas! Nyrkki scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Saarenp�� finish him?!
Nyrkki is rocked!
Saarenp�� moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Nyrkki is still on wobbly legs! Can Saarenp�� finish him?
Nyrkki lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Saarenp�� circles away quickly and effectively.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Saarenp��.
Nyrkki looks winded!
Saarenp�� connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Saarenp�� turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Nyrkki seems to have recovered his senses.
Nyrkki moves to clinch but Saarenp�� breaks away
and Saarenp�� makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Nyrkki blocks the body kick.
Saarenp�� slips a straight right by Nyrkki.
Mika Saarenp�� is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Nyrkki chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Saarenp�� can pounce on him.
Saarenp�� fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Nyrkki.
Saarenp�� scores with the left hand. Nyrkki knows he should have avoided that one.
That has opened up Kake Nyrkki's cut even more.
Nyrkki moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Nyrkki wants to clinch
and Saarenp�� counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Nyrkki tries to clinch but Saarenp�� is having none of it.
Saarenp�� throws a wild body kick that Nyrkki sees coming a mile off.
Nyrkki looks to land a right hand but Saarenp�� moved out of range.
Nyrkki throws an overhand right that lands on Saarenp��'s shoulder, as Saarenp�� tries to avoid the shot.
Nyrkki lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Nyrkki doesn't manage to clinch there - Saarenp�� circles away.
A little feinted left hand from Saarenp�� on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
A nice leg kick lands there from Saarenp��.
Nyrkki tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Saarenp�� cracks the inside of Nyrkki's front leg.
Saarenp�� keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Nyrkki throws a body punch but Saarenp�� moves out of range.
Saarenp�� is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Nyrkki shoots in looking for a takedown but Saarenp�� manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Nyrkki's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Mika Saarenp�� has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kake Nyrkki.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Nyrkki walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Saarenp�� swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!
