Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Corzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Rose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bruce Rose is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alex Corzo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bruce Rose!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Edson Gomes and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rose gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Corzo to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Corzo is fighting to break Rose's control of his arms but Rose is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Rose has his foot on Corzo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Corzo works his way back into a safe position though.
Rose has control of Corzo's left arm, preventing Corzo from doing any damage.

Rose is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Corzo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Rose looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Rose keeping moving, preventing Corzo from controlling successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rose managing to control the position.
Rose looking to hit a scissor sweep but Corzo is one step ahead there.

Rose working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Corzo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Corzo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Rose is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Rose had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Corzo defends it easily.

Rose wants to stand up but Corzo is controlling him.
Rose lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Corzo has Rose pulled in close to control his posture.
Rose cracks Corzo with a solid left hand.
Rose pushing down on Corzo's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Corzo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rose on the ground.
Still in half guard, Rose seems content to control.

Rose takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Rose drops an elbow to the side of Corzo's head.
Rose seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Rose connects with a nice short shot to Corzo's temple.
Rose with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Corzo tries to roll over but Rose keeps him under control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bruce Rose dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Rose bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Rose tries to move into full mount but can't pass Corzo's legs.
Corzo is letting Rose control him for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rose lands a few punches from side control.
Corzo being controlled for a moment.

Rose is continuing to stall.
Rose landing a few strikes.
Corzo is looking for a sweep.
Rose controls the position.
Rose moves into full mount!
Rose controlling from the full mount.

Corzo is looking to get to half guard.
Rose in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

It looks like Alex Corzo has been cut.
Rose lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Rose controlling from the full mount.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Bruce Rose has got the better of the ground game so far.

Rose landing strikes, looking to finish!
Rose lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Corzo hang on?

Rose swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!

Bruce Rose tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
