Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Emil Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruiser Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Emil Alvarez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Bruiser Barnes! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Paul Tew and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barnes stuffs the takedown. Barnes closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Barnes jumps guard and drags Alvarez to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Barnes working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Alvarez has passed into half guard!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Alvarez seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Barnes is trying to control but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Barnes wants to get back to full guard. Alvarez really is a fat lump. Barnes is defending against the submission attempts here by Alvarez.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barnes pushes Alvarez off looking to stand but Alvarez dives back in and keeps control.
Alvarez throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Barnes keeping hold of Alvarez's head, controlling as best he can. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Barnes tries to get to full guard but Alvarez has control of the leg. Alvarez is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Alvarez checks a low kick from Barnes. Barnes gets a double leg takedown into Alvarez's guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Alvarez holds on and takes a little breather. Alvarez being controlled here, momentarily. Barnes trying to control but Alvarez is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alvarez is pulling down on Barnes's head. It's preventing any offense from Barnes, at least for the moment. Alvarez looking to control.
Alvarez is really struggling to control Barnes but he's trying to hold on to the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Barnes forces Alvarez back against the cage and clinches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Barnes is looking to break free of the clinch but Alvarez has double underhooks. Alvarez lands a right hand. Barnes is trying to trip Alvarez. He has hold of a leg but Alvarez is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Barnes persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Barnes must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Barnes connects with a couple of short punches. Barnes postures up.

Bruiser Barnes dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Barnes shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Barnes has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Barnes seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Alvarez does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Alvarez keeping hold of Barnes's head, controlling as best he can. Barnes is keen to just control but Alvarez is a slippery customer. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Barnes is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Alvarez pushes Barnes off looking to stand but Barnes dives back in and keeps control.

That's one minute gone in the round. Barnes tries to pass to full mount but Alvarez defends it. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Nice strikes from Barnes there. Barnes tries to stand and escape but Alvarez is controlling the position. Barnes is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Alvarez doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Barnes.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Alvarez steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Barnes. Barnes clinches up against the cage. Alvarez decides to pull guard. Barnes stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Alvarez swivels though and keeps the full guard. Barnes trying to control but Alvarez is working from the bottom.

Barnes controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Alvarez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Barnes can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Alvarez has a closed guard, preventing Barnes from standing up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alvarez keeping full guard, as Barnes tries to pass.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Alvarez shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Barnes defends it nicely. Barnes is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Alvarez's half guard. Alvarez keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Alvarez is trying to control but Barnes passes into side control!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Barnes controls the position. Barnes wants to stand but Alvarez is controlling his arm. Barnes is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Alvarez might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Barnes wants to stand but Alvarez has his arm trapped. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bruiser Barnes showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Barnes feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Barnes drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Alvarez manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Barnes has Alvarez in his guard. Alvarez won't allow Barnes to sweep him here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Alvarez loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Barnes looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Barnes trying to keep a closed guard but Alvarez is proving a slippery customer.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alvarez works over Barnes with some ground and pound from guard. Barnes will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Barnes closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Alvarez is looking to reverse the position. Barnes working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Barnes tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Barnes takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Barnes wants to control but Alvarez is keeping him busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alvarez is looking for a sweep. Sloppy strikes there by Barnes. Alvarez trying to remain calm as Barnes controls from the top position.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Barnes misses with a few strikes there.
Alvarez tries to close the distance and clinch but Barnes swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Barnes looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it. Barnes shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Alvarez napping and manages to drive through into side control! Alvarez on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Barnes creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Barnes looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Barnes scores with a couple of short elbows. Alvarez wants to control but Barnes postures up. You can see the frustration on Alvarez's face as Barnes controls the position. Barnes throwing shots but missing, from side control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Barnes tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Emil Alvarez has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Bruiser Barnes is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Barnes is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Alvarez's shoulder. That is not cool.
And that's the end of the fight! Bruiser Barnes comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Barnes has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
