0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Christian Torres! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Torres doesn't manage to clinch there - Ramirez circles away.
Ramirez scores with a decent looking hook. Torres should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Ramirez misses with a two punch combination.
Ramirez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Ramirez lands a head shot. Ramirez throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Ramirez wants to stand and escape but Torres is having none of it. Torres drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Torres jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Torres is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Ramirez scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Torres doesn't seem bothered though. Torres tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. It looked like Ramirez was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Ramirez swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Torres tries to close the distance and clinch but Ramirez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Ramirez was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Ramirez lands a body shot.

A low kick from Ramirez is predictable there and Torres counters with a takedown into side control. Torres looks winded! Torres decides to stand up, so the ref orders Ramirez to his feet. Torres is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Ramirez's half guard. Ramirez is trying to control but can't.

That was a close round but I would say that Jeffrey Ramirez will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Ramirez will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Ramirez defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Torres. As Torres looks to move away, Ramirez throws a big counter combo bu Torres just gets out of the way. It looks like Christian Torres has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ramirez fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Torres looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Ramirez stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ramirez wants it to stay on the feet. Torres is breathing heavily. Ramirez throws a low kick but Torres moves out of range easily. Torres tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Ramirez defends well and Torres ends up having to push Ramirez into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Jeffrey Ramirez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Christian Torres.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ramirez throws a nice looking combination but Torres bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Torres looks like he wants to counter punch here. Torres moves out of range of the leg kick from Ramirez. Ramirez throws a leg kick but Torres moved away. Nice uppercut lands for Ramirez. That snapped Torres's head back.
Torres closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Torres misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Torres takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Ramirez throws a chopping leg kick but Torres manages to avoid taking any serious damage. And Torres responds with a good body kick, but Ramirez manages to step out the way in time. Jeffrey Ramirez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Torres moves out of range of the leg kick from Ramirez. Torres is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Jeffrey Ramirez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ramirez throws a low kick but it's checked well by Torres. Torres appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Torres fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ramirez avoids it really well and circles away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jeffrey Ramirez dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Christian Torres's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Ramirez scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Ramirez lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Ramirez. Ramirez is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. A combination from Ramirez does no damage. Torres shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Torres showed some decent athleticism there. Ramirez is staying active underneath Torres, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Ramirez is pressing down on Torres's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Torres takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Torres accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Torres pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ramirez is keeping the position for now. Torres trying to control but Ramirez is working from the bottom. Ramirez is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Torres dives into side control.
Torres looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. You can see the frustration on Ramirez's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Ramirez tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Ramirez displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Ramirez throws a leg kick and Torres counters with a nice double leg into guard. Ramirez is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Jeffrey Ramirez is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Torres is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ramirez not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Ramirez swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Torres. A chopping leg kick lands by Ramirez. Ramirez misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Torres changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Ramirez throws a right and a left that both miss. Ramirez scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Ramirez misses with a low kick. Ramirez with a body punch. A glancing blow. Torres moves in looking to clinch but Ramirez pushes him off. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ramirez falls off balance throwing a combination
and Torres counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Christian Torres has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Torres throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jeffrey Ramirez. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ramirez, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
