The bell rings for round one and we are underway! St Pierre fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dice sprawls well initially but St Pierre persists and gets the takedown into half guard. St Pierre decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. St Pierre shoots in looking for a takedown. Dice tries to sprawl out of it but St Pierre keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dice manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Dice shoots and misses and St Pierre moves into the clinch. St Pierre looking for a takedown. St Pierre is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Dice pulls him back up using the underhooks. Kimbo Dice has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fritz St Pierre. Dice taking a breather. Dice drags the fight down to the ground.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Dice has his takedown stuffed and St Pierre decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dice's guard. Dice really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. St Pierre postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Dice is trying to control the position but St Pierre postures up. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. St Pierre gets a takedown into half guard. St Pierre is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. St Pierre is keen to just control but Dice is a slippery customer. St Pierre controlling the action here. St Pierre is tying to control. Dice wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dice is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of St Pierre's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take St Pierre's back! St Pierre is trying to get back to his feet but Dice has full control of the position and if anything, St Pierre has just worked his way into a worse spot. St Pierre should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. St Pierre tries to roll but Dice sticks to his back.

Dice is trying to stick to St Pierre's back but St Pierre is turning into Dice. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Dice's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by St Pierre.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. St Pierre trying to stand up but can't free himself from Dice's guard. Dice looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Dice is looking to sweep but instead, St Pierre has passed into half guard.
Dice is not content to let St Pierre control the position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. St Pierre with a lazy takedown attempt and Dice counters with a shoot takedown. St Pierre fights it but they end up in guard. St Pierre is looking for a triangle but Dice pushes his legs off easily.
St Pierre is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Dice is controlling him. St Pierre working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dice doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dice manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fritz St Pierre dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Dice throws a quick head kick that skims the top of St Pierre's head. St Pierre misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Kimbo Dice is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. St Pierre has a takedown stuffed. Left hook, right uppercut from Dice. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. St Pierre shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dice's guard. St Pierre stays in close to Dice's body and controls the position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. St Pierre wants to control from the top but Dice keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. St Pierre wants to stand but Dice is controlling his posture from full guard. St Pierre stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dice swivels though and keeps the full guard. Dice has a closed guard, preventing St Pierre from standing up. Dice will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. St Pierre wants to control from the top but Dice keeps moving. St Pierre is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. St Pierre cracks the inside of Dice's front leg. St Pierre closes the distance and clinches up with Dice, looking for a takedown. St Pierre pushes Dice against the cage but Dice circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Kimbo Dice has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fritz St Pierre. St Pierre scores a takedown into full mount! St Pierre controlling the position easily from mount. St Pierre wants to control the pace but Dice is squirming around nicely. St Pierre goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Dice turns into him and now he's in St Pierre's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. St Pierre makes his way to full guard. A much better position for St Pierre. St Pierre is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. St Pierre keeping full guard, as Dice tries to pass. St Pierre is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. St Pierre is looking to stand up but Dice isn't so interested in that idea. St Pierre bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dice's guard. St Pierre controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. St Pierre drops back looking for a leg! Dice is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dice manages to kick St Pierre off! St Pierre jumps back into Dice's guard. St Pierre trying to control but Dice is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fritz St Pierre showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Dice tries to keep at a distance but St Pierre has taken the fight into the clinch. St Pierre has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Dice is trying to keep an underhook but St Pierre manages to get the takedown into half guard. St Pierre wants to free his trapped foot but Dice is holding on for dear life with his legs. St Pierre trying to control the action but Dice is working from the bottom. Dice gets back to full guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. St Pierre is stalling in the full guard. Dice keeping moving, preventing St Pierre from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. St Pierre throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dice works some decent striking defense from the bottom. St Pierre is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Dice being controlled here, momentarily. St Pierre wants to control from the top but Dice keeps moving. St Pierre working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Hammerfist, elbow! yells St Pierre's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

That's better than St Pierre was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! St Pierre tries to control but Dice wriggling away. St Pierre is landing with some decent strikes but Dice is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Dice is in a horrible position here. St Pierre smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

St Pierre takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. St Pierre connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Dice looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by St Pierre! Submission of the night perhaps?
