Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zinar Kozad II (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Rogerio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kozad II's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, target=blank>It's a fight. Antonio Rogerio looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Zinar Kozad II! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Antonio Rogerio! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Seu Braga and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rogerio throws a nice looking combination but Kozad II bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Kozad II shoots in but Rogerio avoids the takedown attempt easily. Kozad II chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Kozad II looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rogerio is fending him off so far but Kozad II persists. Nope, Rogerio circles away and we're back to standing. Kozad II shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zinar Kozad II. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kozad II closes the distance and clinches. Kozad II decides to pull guard. Kozad II working for a triangle but Rogerio defends it easily.
Kozad II is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Rogerio throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kozad II works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rogerio trying to stand up but can't free himself from Kozad II's guard. Kozad II is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Kozad II keeping moving, preventing Rogerio from controlling successfully. Kozad II looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Rogerio puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Rogerio throwing shots but Kozad II is blocking nicely.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kozad II swinging wilding here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Kozad II fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rogerio sprawls well initially but Kozad II persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Rogerio has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Kozad II is breathing heavily. Kozad II wants to pass to mount but Rogerio is defending the position. Kozad II throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Kozad II is thwarting Rogerio's attempts to control the position. Rogerio won't allow Kozad II to pass to mount. Rogerio trying to control from the bottom.
Rogerio might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kozad II kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Rogerio has hold of Kozad II's hands but Kozad II slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Rogerio darts in trying to clinch and Kozad II counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Kozad II is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Rogerio makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Rogerio. Rogerio has Kozad II pulled in close to control his posture. Rogerio working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kozad II.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rogerio keeping moving, preventing Kozad II from controlling successfully. Kozad II looking to pass the guard. Rogerio looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kozad II is one step ahead there. Kozad II postures up in Rogerio's guard and throws a big left but Rogerio blocks it. Kozad II trying to control but Rogerio is working from the bottom. Rogerio manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Zinar Kozad II dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Rogerio throws a series of strikes that have Kozad II backpedaling.
Kozad II shoots in but no luck this time. Rogerio takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Rogerio gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kozad II counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Kozad II. Kozad II is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Rogerio gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Rogerio on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Rogerio avoids a wild elbow strike from Kozad II. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kozad II breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Nice takedown defense from Kozad II. No joy for Rogerio on that attempt. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kozad II closes the distance and clinches. Kozad II breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rogerio clinches but Kozad II breaks the clinch and Kozad II decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rogerio's guard. Kozad II throws a strike but Rogerio rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Rogerio is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Rogerio is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Kozad II had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Rogerio is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Kozad II Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Rogerio's back instead.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rogerio rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Kozad II is trying to control the action in half guard but Rogerio is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Rogerio makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Rogerio. Kozad II with a flurry of punches that miss. Kozad II wanted to stand there but Rogerio had control of the position. Kozad II working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kozad II looking to sit in guard and control but Rogerio gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Kozad II not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Kozad II is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Rogerio can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Kozad II manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Kozad II misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rogerio.
Kozad II works over Rogerio's head and body with a nice combination. Kozad II throws a combination that misses and Rogerio counters with a series of strikes. Kozad II will be more careful next time no doubt. Kozad II looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rogerio is fending him off so far but Kozad II persists. Nope, Rogerio circles away and we're back to standing. Kozad II closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Rogerio tries to pull guard but Kozad II won't allow it.
Zinar Kozad II has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Antonio Rogerio. Kozad II unloads a knee to the mid-section. Rogerio lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kozad II has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Rogerio clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Kozad II misses with punches from the back. Rogerio rolls, trying to escape but Kozad II keeps control of the position.
Rogerio tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Kozad II throws some wild stikes that Rogerio manages to avoid easily.
Kozad II takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Kozad II fails to advance to Rogerio's back. Rogerio is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kozad II is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Rogerio fails with the takedown and Kozad II moves into the clinch. Kozad II breaks the clinch.
Rogerio with a lazy takedown attempt and Kozad II holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Kozad II breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Kozad II closes the distance and clinches up with Rogerio, looking for a takedown. Kozad II pushes Rogerio against the cage but Rogerio circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Kozad II forces Rogerio back against the cage and clinches. Rogerio jumps guard but Kozad II stands there with Rogerio around his waist. Rogerio gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Rogerio changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Kozad II fights it off and pushes away nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kozad II swings for the body but Rogerio moves out of range.
Rogerio shoots in for a double leg but Kozad II sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Kozad II shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Kozad II was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Rogerio gets back to half guard. Rogerio is staying active underneath Kozad II, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Kozad II thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Rogerio's head. Rogerio won't allow Kozad II to pass to mount. Kozad II is tying to control. Rogerio wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kozad II controlling the action here. Zinar Kozad II overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Rogerio throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Rogerio is in trouble now - Kozad II has advanced to mount! Kozad II lands a big elbow. Kozad II wants to control the pace but Rogerio is squirming around nicely. Antonio Rogerio has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Zinar Kozad II is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
And that's the end of the fight! Zinar Kozad II showed his dominance in that final round. Well Kozad II has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
