Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between David McCarthy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Hanga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McCarthy comes to the cage accompanied by Chamillionaire - Ridin' ft. Krayzie Bone. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Adam Hanga!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Paulo Santos and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanga shoots for a double leg takedown but McCarthy sprawls well. He's pushed Hanga's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Hanga will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

It looks like Adam Hanga has been cut.
David McCarthy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adam Hanga.
Hanga throws a series of punches but McCarthy moves out of range.
McCarthy slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Hanga throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McCarthy's waist but McCarthy gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hanga off to one side.
Hanga looks winded!
McCarthy cracks Hanga with an uppercut from hell and Hanga crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of McCarthy's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
Hanga is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McCarthy controls from within his opponent's guard.
Hanga is still in real trouble! Can McCarthy finish him?
McCarthy pushes down on Hanga's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Hanga wants to get back to his feet.
Hanga seems to have recovered his senses.
McCarthy works his way into full mount!

McCarthy tries to control but Hanga wriggling away.

Hanga is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. McCarthy locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Hanga is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). David McCarthy!
David McCarthy retains his welterweight title!
Our winner, David McCarthy, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
