Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, John McClane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Quick Ness!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Glass and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McClane tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ness paws at him with a jab and circles away.
McClane tries to clinch up but Ness circles away and keeps his distance.

Ness shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
McClane is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

It looks like John McClane has been cut.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

McClane's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
McClane trying desperately to get to his feet.

Ness goes for an armbar but McClane turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from McClane.

Ness controls McClane momentarily but McClane frees himself.

McClane gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
McClane tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
McClane misses with a takedown

and Ness counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Ness is controlling the pace.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Quick Ness dominated that round.
The cut man is working on John McClane's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


McClane throws a head kick but Ness moves out of range.
Ness shoots in for a double leg but McClane sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

McClane has taken the fight to the clinch.
McClane using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McClane wants to get back to striking at distance but Ness won't allow it.
McClane is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Ness has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. McClane avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

and Ness decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in McClane's guard.
McClane is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Ness is controlling him.

McClane wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Ness manages to pass to side control.
McClane is refusing to be controlled, as Ness sits in half guard.

John McClane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Quick Ness.
McClane throws a right and a left that both miss.

McClane takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Quick Ness showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

McClane makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

McClane doesn't manage to clinch there - Ness circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - McClane looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Ness counters with a single leg into guard. McClane didn't expect that.
Ness stops McClane from standing up.
Ness postures up in McClane's guard and throws a big left but McClane blocks it.
McClane can't keep his opponent in guard - Ness advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Ness trying to control the action but McClane is working from the bottom.

McClane looks like he's trying to stand up.
Ness wants to pass to mount but McClane is defending the position.
Ness prevents McClane from standing back up.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ness connects with a nice short shot to McClane's temple.

McClane manages to escape and get back to his feet!
McClane tries to land a front kick but Ness steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
A head kick misses from McClane.
John McClane is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Ness closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming McClane to the mat! McClane manages to get full guard.

Ness makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
McClane is looking to stand up but Ness isn't so interested in that idea.

McClane uses the cage to get back to his feet.
McClane connects with a high kick.

Ness rushes McClane and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Ness tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. McClane just stands there and leans against the cage.
McClane scores a nice knee to the body.

McClane drags the fight down to the ground.
Ness stops McClane from standing up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ness trying to control the position from guard on top but McClane is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Ness sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed McClane's guard.
Ness is tying to control. McClane wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Ness is nestled in close to McClane, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Ness is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so McClane is just riding it out for now. Ness eventually gives up the hold.
Ness content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
John McClane has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Ness tries to pass the half guard into mount. McClane knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

And that's the end of the fight!
Quick Ness comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Ness winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
