Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ian Tunstall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Waterdeep (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ian Tunstall could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Chris Waterdeep's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ian Tunstall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Waterdeep!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Glass and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Waterdeep scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Waterdeep decides to stand back up.
Waterdeep is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Tunstall clinches up with Waterdeep and pushes him back against the cage.

Waterdeep is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Tunstall can't fight it off and eventually Waterdeep manages to take the fight to the floor. Tunstall looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Waterdeep sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Tunstall's guard.

Waterdeep seems to be looking for submissions.
Tunstall wants to get back to full guard.
Waterdeep has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Waterdeep thows a huge punch but Tunstall dodges it nicely.

Waterdeep is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Tunstall defends it well.
Waterdeep wants to pass to mount but Tunstall is defending the position.
Tunstall flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Tunstall looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Waterdeep looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tunstall is fending him off so far but Waterdeep persists. Nope, Tunstall circles away and we're back to standing.

Waterdeep shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Waterdeep was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Tunstall keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Tunstall bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Tunstall gets to his feet - Waterdeep follows without any prompting.

Tunstall shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Waterdeep is looking for a triangle but Tunstall pushes his legs off easily.

Waterdeep can't keep his opponent in guard - Tunstall advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Tunstall passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Waterdeep!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tunstall fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Waterdeep tries to reverse the position but Tunstall maintains control.
Waterdeep swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Waterdeep is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Tunstall is landing with some decent strikes but Waterdeep is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Tunstall lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Waterdeep tries to improve his position but instead Tunstall has taken his back!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Tunstall scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Waterdeep is looking for a way out.

That was a close round but I would say that Ian Tunstall will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Tunstall shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Waterdeep counters with a nice double leg into side control. Tunstall won't be happy with that.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Tunstall is trying to get back to his feet.
Waterdeep wants to control but Tunstall is keeping him busy.
Tunstall is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Waterdeep is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Waterdeep swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Tunstall is now in Waterdeep's guard. A big mistake from Waterdeep there, giving up the dominant position!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Waterdeep is looking to stand up but Tunstall isn't so interested in that idea.
Waterdeep pulls Tunstall in close to prevent any damage.
Waterdeep lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Tunstall!

Waterdeep moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Tunstall has worked his arm free - good work by Tunstall!

Tunstall is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Waterdeep's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Tunstall is looking for a sweep. Waterdeep is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Tunstall keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Waterdeep thows a huge punch but Tunstall dodges it nicely.
Waterdeep is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Tunstall is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Waterdeep's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Waterdeep's back!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Tunstall is persistently looking for the submission but Waterdeep is defending it well.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ian Tunstall will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Tunstall stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Waterdeep lands a big elbow.
Waterdeep trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Waterdeep has control of Tunstall's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Tunstall regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Waterdeep jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Tunstall is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Tunstall and Waterdeep has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Tunstall is looking to regain half guard here but Waterdeep keeps moving and retains side control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Waterdeep has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Tunstall shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Tunstall wants to work for an arm triangle but Waterdeep is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Waterdeep trying to control but Tunstall postures up.

Tunstall has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Waterdeep defend it? Tunstall steps over the head and cranks it - Waterdeep is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Tunstall!
