Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dong Monroe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abdul Jabbar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dong Monroe has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dong Monroe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Abdul Jabbar! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Colin Fotheringham and Chris Edwards.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jabbar forces Monroe back against the cage and clinches.
Monroe tightens his grip and picks Jabbar up, before dumping him to the ground. Jabbar manages to land in guard. Jabbar is pulling down on Monroe's head. It's preventing any offense from Monroe, at least for the moment. Jabbar not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Jabbar wants to sweep here but Monroe controlling him for the moment. Monroe controls from within his opponent's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jabbar is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Monroe controls the pace of the fight for a moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jabbar lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Jabbar has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Monroe is trying to keep an underhook but Jabbar manages to get the takedown into half guard. Jabbar with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Monroe trying to control but Jabbar postures up.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Jabbar sitting and controlling from the half guard. Jabbar prevents Monroe from improving his position. Jabbar slows the pace down in half guard. Jabbar has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Jabbar looking to control but Monroe is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Jabbar is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Jabbar in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jabbar cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Jabbar looking to control but Monroe is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Jabbar landing strikes, looking to finish! Jabbar clinches up with Monroe and pushes him back against the cage.
Jabbar gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jabbar wants to lay and pray for a moment but Monroe keeps working. Jabbar is taking a breather. Monroe says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Jabbar tries to pass to full mount but Monroe defends it. Jabbar is trying to control the action in half guard but Monroe is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Jabbar content to control rather than advance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fighters are battling for position here. Monroe manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Monroe trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Jabbar is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Monroe wants to sweep here but Jabbar controlling him for the moment. Abdul Jabbar has got the better of the ground game so far. Jabbar wants to control from the top but Monroe keeps moving. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Monroe will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Monroe gets a trip takedown into half guard. Jabbar has his hands clasped together around Monroe's back. He's all about the action. Jabbar is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jabbar can do anything to dispel that myth.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Jabbar holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Jabbar wants to get back to full guard.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Jabbar moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Jabbar is trying to keep Monroe in close.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jabbar gets in close and instigates a clinch. Monroe is looking to take this one to the mat.
Jabbar has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Monroe clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Jabbar biding his time, looking for the opening.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Monroe tries to break free.

Monroe is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Jabbar.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Monroe prevents Jabbar from getting a body triangle. Jabbar controls the position. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Abdul Jabbar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Monroe looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jabbar is one step ahead there.  That's two minutes gone in the round. Jabbar lands with a punch from half guard. Monroe regains full guard. Nicely done. Jabbar scoring with some ground and pound. Monroe trying to strike off his back.

Jabbar rushes Monroe and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Monroe can't get the takedown.
Monroe tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Jabbar has clasped his hands together around Monroe's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Jabbar scores with a couple of short elbows. Monroe is not content to let Jabbar control the position. Monroe prevents Jabbar from improving position. Abdul Jabbar is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Jabbar working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Monroe is trying to improve his position. Jabbar lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Monroe down.
Jabbar moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Monroe is looking to regain half guard here but Jabbar keeps moving and retains side control. Dong Monroe has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jabbar wants to take a breather but Monroe manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Jabbar.
And that's the end of the fight! Abdul Jabbar comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Jabbar has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
