Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jax Marciano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Brave (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jax Marciano has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jax Marciano! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Brave! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brave gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brave wants to get back to his feet but Marciano passes into half guard.
Marciano keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Marciano could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Marciano decides to stand up. Marciano definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. A head kick misses from Brave. Brave tries a low kick but Marciano avoids it. Marciano shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Brave as he avoids it easily. Brave tries to clinch up but Marciano circles away and keeps his distance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brave just misses with a punch to the body.
Brave misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Marciano shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Brave manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Marciano passes into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marciano perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Marciano passes to side control. Marciano controls the position. Marciano advances to mount. Marciano is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Brave can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Marciano takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Marciano cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Marciano raining down hammerfists from mount. Marciano throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Brave has his hands clasped together but Marciano breaks the hold and Brave is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Marciano!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jax Marciano!
