Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paul McCracken!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 27 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jonathan Goldsmith!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Goldsmith tries to keep at a distance but McCracken has taken the fight into the clinch.
McCracken misses with a knee strike.
McCracken lands a body shot.
I was talking to McCracken's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Goldsmith misses with a punch on the inside.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
McCracken misses with a hook to the ribs.
Goldsmith is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but McCracken is defending well.
Goldsmith tried to land a shot to the body but connects with McCracken's elbow.

Goldsmith breaks the clinch.
Both fighters circling a little - McCracken finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
McCracken tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Despite the aggression on Goldsmith's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McCracken connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
McCracken tries to close the distance and clinch but Goldsmith swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Goldsmith takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

Goldsmith gets tackled into the cage by McCracken. McCracken maintains the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McCracken lands a shot to the body.
Goldsmith looks winded!
McCracken lands a body shot in the clinch.

McCracken breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

McCracken gets in close and instigates a clinch.

McCracken manages to break the clinch.
McCracken scores with a spinning back kick!
McCracken moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
McCracken throws a front kick that sends Goldsmith stumbling back into the cage.
McCracken throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Goldsmith crumples to the floor and the fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Paul McCracken!
A very excited looking Paul McCracken rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
