Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Persson shoots in and drives through. Ly sprawls well.

Ly has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Persson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ly knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Persson on the ground.

That was a close round but I would say that Matthew Ly will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Persson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Persson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Ly might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Persson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Persson throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Ly because Persson loaded up on that one.
Matthew Ly is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Matthew Ly.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ly, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
