Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ruud Gullit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Honza Kucera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ruud Gullit! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Honza Kucera! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Josh West and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gullit throws a series of punches but Kucera moves out of range. Kucera with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Kucera has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Gullit is landing a low percentage of strikes. Gullit throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kucera shoots in but no luck this time. Gullit went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Kucera lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Kucera thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Gullit if he has to take too many more of those.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gullit throws a nice looking combination but Kucera bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Kucera tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. A head kick misses from Kucera. Gullit has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gullit swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Kucera counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kucera. Kucera got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gullit has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kucera has managed to get both his arms back between Gullit's legs - danger averted. Kucera is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kucera wants to pass the guard but Gullit is keeping the position. Gullit looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Kucera not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Kucera is pushing down on Gullit's leg trying to pass to half guard. Gullit is fighting to maintain full guard but Kucera has managed to sneak the leg through.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gullit looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Gullit is trying to maintain the position but Kucera is very close to passing his half guard. Gullit manages to get to full guard.
Kucera stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gullit swivels though and keeps the full guard. Gullit working for a triangle but Kucera defends it easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kucera wants to pass the guard but Gullit is keeping the position. Gullit had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kucera defends it easily. Kucera got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gullit has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Kucera throws a head kick that misses. Gullit seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. A slapping leg kick lands for Kucera.
An inside leg kick lands from Kucera. Kucera goes for a double leg but Gullit avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Gullit continues to drive forward. An attempted straight right counter from Gullit misses the target. Kucera dives in for a single leg takedown but Gullit sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Gullit seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Ruud Gullit has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Honza Kucera. Gullit misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Gullit fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Gullit throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Honza Kucera will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
The fighters circling - Gullit throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Kucera tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gullit swivels and escapes. Gullit lands a left and a right that send Kucera crashing to the mat, dazed. Gullit thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Honza Kucera has been cut. Gullit pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Kucera connects with a high kick. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kucera fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Gullit half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Gullit keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. It looked like Gullit was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Ruud Gullit has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Honza Kucera.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kucera with a poor takedown and Gullit counters with a stiff right hand. Gullit tries to bum rush Kucera with a series of wild strikes but Kucera uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Gullit thows a left - swing and a miss! And Kucera tries to counter it with a takedown but Gullit pushes his down on his head and steps out. Kucera fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Gullit appears to be looking for a big counter. A good leg kick by Kucera.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gullit jabs at Kucera's body. Ruud Gullit is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Gullit fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kucera on the side of the head. Kucera shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Kucera closes the distance and clinches up with Gullit, looking for a takedown. Kucera pushes Gullit against the cage but Gullit circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Gullit is looking for a counter combo. Gullit avoids a kick to the body.
Kucera throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Kucera takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Gullit throws an overhand right that lands on Kucera's shoulder, as Kucera tries to avoid the shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gullit jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Oooooh!!! Gullit has knocked Kucera down with a huge combo! Gullit steps away and waves a wobbly Kucera back to his feet! This one might not go much longer! Ruud Gullit is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kucera staying out of range there. Gullit swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kucera tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Kucera is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Gullit moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ruud Gullit! Ruud Gullit is the new bantamweight champion! Jumping up and down and very excited, Ruud Gullit waved his t-shirt featuring Kemists ↑ 5x160Q's logo in front of the cameras.
