Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Wells (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frodo Baggins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Daniel Wells!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Frodo Baggins!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Peter Branson and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baggins tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wells sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Baggins somewhat.
Baggins avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Frodo Baggins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Baggins circles away from the clinch attempt.
Wells stuffs the takedown attempt from Baggins. Baggins gets slowly back to his feet.
Wells is looking for a counter combo.
Baggins scores with a nice body kick.
Wells keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Baggins changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wells tries to avoid it but Baggins manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wells to the ground. Wells escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Baggins moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

Baggins's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
The fight stays on the outside here - Wells looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Wells moves in looking to clinch but Baggins pushes him off.
Wells tries to clinch up but Baggins circles away and keeps his distance.
Baggins throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wells's waist but Wells gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Baggins off to one side.

Baggins should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Wells.
Baggins drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Wells defends it well.
Wells scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Baggins throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.

Wells lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Wells looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Baggins is fending him off so far but Wells persists. Nope, Baggins circles away and we're back to standing.
Baggins shoots in looking for a takedown. Wells tries to sprawl out of it but Baggins keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Wells manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Wells throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
The fight stays on the outside here - Wells looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Baggins fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Wells fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Baggins, pushing him back against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Frodo Baggins will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Wells was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Baggins unleashes a big counter combination but Wells bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Baggins has eaten all the pies!

Baggins swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Frodo Baggins showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Baggins gets control of Wells's arms and successfully pulls guard. Baggins will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Baggins accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Baggins throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Wells works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Baggins is stalling in the full guard.

Frodo Baggins comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Baggins winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
