Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Jach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stefan Struve (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Jach! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Stefan Struve! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Lou da Vinci and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Struve fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Danga de danga de dang - Struve scores with a four punch combination! Jach scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Struve looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Struve keeping hold of Jach's head, controlling as best he can. Jach is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Jach not doing much here.
Struve is pressing down on Jach's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jach won't allow Struve to sweep him here. Struve is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Struve works his way into full mount! Struve stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Struve misses with a takedown attempt letting Jach counter with a right hand. Jach throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Struve. Struve tries for a takedown but Jach circles away easily and Jach counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. James Jach has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stefan Struve. Struve looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jach wants to stand up but Struve has a hold of him and won't allow it. Struve desperately trying to maintain half guard. Struve looks like he's trying to stand up.
Jach tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Jach wants to take a breather but Struve is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Struve gets back to full guard.
Struve will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Struve wants to sweep here but Jach controlling him for the moment. Struve is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Struve decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Struve looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Jach! Struve trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Struve is standing up, even though he is in mount. Jach scores with a shot to the body.
Struve tries for a takedown but Jach circles away easily enabling Jach to counter with a crisp jab. A head kick misses from Jach. Struve gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Jach decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Struve's guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jach looking to pass the guard. Struve wants to sweep but no luck. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Stefan Struve will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Jach bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Struve's head. Jach wants to clinch. Jach wants to clinch up but Struve keeps it at a distance. Jach throws a right and a left that Struve avoids nicely. Struve throws a head kick that misses. Horrible takedown by Struve or perhaps it was just good defense by Jach which made him look bad. Jach looks for a takedown but Struve sprawls well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Struve misses with a takedown attempt and Jach counters with a leg kick. Struve gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Jach counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Jach. James Jach has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stefan Struve. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Struve escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jach gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. James Jach overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Struve trying to keep a closed guard but Jach is proving a slippery customer.
That's one minute gone in the round. Struve keeping moving, preventing Jach from controlling successfully. Struve is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Jach might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Jach is positioning himself well to prevent Struve advancing to mount. Struve is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Jach is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
