Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Severus Ignotus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Jenen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Severus Ignotus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Brian Jenen!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Donald Grub and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jenen clinches.

Jenen gets a trip takedown into half guard.

Jenen is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ignotus doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jenen.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ignotus is trying to stand.

Jenen seems to be working for a kimura but Ignotus defends the submission attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jenen working over Ignotus with some ground and pound. Ignotus looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jenen slows the pace down in half guard.
Jenen trying to pass the guard but Ignotus defending well.
Ignotus knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jenen on the ground.
Jenen thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ignotus's head.

Jenen is trying to work for a kimura but Ignotus is defending well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Jenen slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Jenen's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Ignotus keeping moving, preventing Jenen from controlling successfully.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jenen not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Ignotus keeping full guard, as Jenen tries to pass.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Ignotus gets caught napping as Jenen dives in and scores a takedown. Ignotus manages to retain guard.
Jenen controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Jenen pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ignotus is keeping the position for now.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Jenen is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Ignotus keeping moving, preventing Jenen from controlling successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brian Jenen dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Ignotus misses with a wild body shot.
Ignotus misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ignotus lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jenen circles away quickly and effectively.
Ignotus sets himself, and Jenen steps forward looking for the clinch! Ignotus avoids it this time.
Jenen uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ignotus.
Jenen drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Ignotus defends it well.
Jenen has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Ignotus is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Jenen tries to clinch up but Ignotus circles away and keeps his distance.

Nice combo by Ignotus! Oh, that's hurt him - Jenen falls to the canvas and Ignotus follows him into side control.


It looks like Brian Jenen has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jenen manages to work his way to half guard, despite Ignotus's best efforts.
Jenen regains full guard. Nicely done.
Ignotus has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Ignotus makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Jenen looking for a guillotine here but Ignotus defends easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ignotus distracts Jenen with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Jenen is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Ignotus presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Jenen prevents Ignotus from breaking the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Jenen turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Jenen manages to end up in side control.
Ignotus is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Jenen throws a strike aimed at the side of Ignotus's head but Ignotus avoids it well.
Jenen is putting a hurting on Ignotus here, landing some big shots from side control.

Jenen tries for a kimura but Ignotus is defending well.
Jenen cracks Ignotus with a big right hand but Ignotus just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Jenen is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Ignotus looks calm but he's in trouble here. Jenen gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Ignotus is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Jenen lets go of the hold and Ignotus can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Brian Jenen!
Brian Jenen seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
