Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stardust Corpsegrinder!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Enrique Rold!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Radbod Blank and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rold throws a body punch but Corpsegrinder moves out of range.
Rold throws a jab but it's blocked by Corpsegrinder.
Rold throws a head kick but Corpsegrinder moves out of range.

Corpsegrinder closes the distance and pushes Rold back into the cage.
Corpsegrinder goes for a takedown in the clinch but Rold prevents it.
Corpsegrinder tries a body shot but Rold blocks it.
Rold trying to stall but Corpsegrinder improves his position.

Corpsegrinder's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Rold connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Corpsegrinder shoots for a takedown but Rold saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Corpsegrinder has Rold pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Corpsegrinder pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Rold tumbling to the mat - Corpsegrinder dives into Rold's guard.
Corpsegrinder is looking to pass into half guard but Rold pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Rold is in guard.

Corpsegrinder wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Rold is now in half guard.
Corpsegrinder has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rold is working away from the top position though.

Rold seems to be working for a kimura but Corpsegrinder defends the submission attempt.

Rold wants to pass to mount but Corpsegrinder is defending the position.
Corpsegrinder is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rold's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rold's back!

Corpsegrinder thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.

Corpsegrinder's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Rold connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Corpsegrinder scrambles back to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Come on Rold - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Corpsegrinder is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Rold can't fight it off and eventually Corpsegrinder manages to take the fight to the floor. Rold looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The strikes coming from Corpsegrinder are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
