Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, antonio silva!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Emerson Jorge and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Wolfe fails to land with a series of punches.
De Wolfe keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
De Wolfe misses with a head kick.
silva fails to land the takedown.
De Wolfe throws a right and a left that silva avoids nicely.
De Wolfe feints and as silva raises his hands in defense, De Wolfe changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
silva escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. De Wolfe gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
silva working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. De Wolfe doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. De Wolfe manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

De Wolfe swings for the body but silva moves out of range.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
De Wolfe moves nicely into side control.

silva sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed De Wolfe's guard.

De Wolfe shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

De Wolfe is looking to take a break and control but silva is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
silva avoids a punch combination nicely.
De Wolfe misses with a takedown attempt
and silva counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by silva.

silva swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and De Wolfe is now in silva's guard. A big mistake from silva there, giving up the dominant position!
De Wolfe stands and throws silva's legs to the side, diving into side control.

De Wolfe wants to lay and pray for a moment but silva keeps working.
silva is looking for a sweep.
De Wolfe is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, silva has escaped the position, nice work there.

De Wolfe is working for a guillotine from mount but silva frees his head quite easily.
De Wolfe can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as silva is looking to escape.
silva is looking to improve his position but De Wolfe isn't that keen on the idea.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
De Wolfe controlling the position easily from mount.
De Wolfe is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, silva has managed to escape the submission attempt.
silva tries to get back to half guard but can't.
De Wolfe can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as silva is looking to escape.
silva is desperately trying to improve his position but De Wolfe has a good base and remains in mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that antonio silva will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
De Wolfe moves into range and clinches up with silva.
De Wolfe tightens his grip and picks silva up, before dumping him to the ground. silva manages to land in guard.
silva had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. De Wolfe is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. silva Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take De Wolfe's back instead.
silva is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. De Wolfe knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften De Wolfe for a finish.
De Wolfe breaks silva's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

De Wolfe drops back looking for a leg! silva is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and silva manages to kick De Wolfe off! De Wolfe jumps back into silva's guard.

silva throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! De Wolfe escapes and throws silva's legs to the side, diving into side control!

silva wants to sweep here but De Wolfe controlling him for the moment.
De Wolfe must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
De Wolfe is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
De Wolfe postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
De Wolfe tries to stand but silva is controlling from the bottom.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now silva is on top in guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

De Wolfe sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
De Wolfe wants to control but silva is keeping busy.

De Wolfe makes his way to full guard, as silva worked for a kimura.
silva drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. silva seems to have locked his on tight now - De Wolfe screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for silva, as he picks up the win!
