Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Point Fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nakki Fakiiri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fakiiri has chosen This One's Gonna Hurt as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Point Fighter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nakki Fakiiri!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by Fakiiri there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Fighter is looking to clinch but Fakiiri is avoiding it.
A clash of legs there as Fighter blocks the low kick.
Fighter throwing a counter right hand but Fakiiri manages to avoid it.
Fighter waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Fakiiri.
Fakiiri slips under a jab.
Fakiiri throws a leg kick

and Fighter counters with a nice double leg into side control. Fakiiri won't be happy with that.
Fighter working the ground and pound but Fakiiri is defending the strikes.
Fighter wants to control but Fakiiri is keeping him busy.
Fighter working the strikes but Fakiiri uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Fighter is keen to just control but Fakiiri is a slippery customer.
Fakiiri makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Fakiiri.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fighter trying to control the position from guard on top but Fakiiri is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Fighter stands and throws Fakiiri's legs to the side, diving into side control.
We've been hearing good reports from Fighter's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Fakiiri regains half guard there - taking advantage of Fighter's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
Fighter is keen to just control but Fakiiri is a slippery customer.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Fighter is really struggling to control Fakiiri but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Fakiiri trying to control from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Fakiiri connects with a leg kick. Fighter looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Fakiiri swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A head kick misses from Fakiiri.
Fakiiri takes a swing at Fighter's ribcage but misses.
A little feinted left hand from Fighter on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A big right from Fakiiri misses.
A slow jab from Fighter misses its intended target.
Fighter throws a poor cross that misses
and Fakiiri counters with a straight right hand.
Fakiiri throws a leg kick that misses.
Fighter scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Fighter takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Fighter looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Fighter shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Fakiiri misses with a two punch combination.
Nakki Fakiiri seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fighter just misses with a punch to the body.
Fighter takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Fakiiri stuffs the takedown attempt from Fighter. Fighter gets slowly back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Fighter shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Fakiiri napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Fighter trying to control the action but Fakiiri is working from the bottom.
Fakiiri regains half guard.

Fighter seems to be looking for submissions.
Fighter trying to pass the guard but Fakiiri defending well.
Fighter is trying to control the action in half guard but Fakiiri is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Point Fighter will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Fighter looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
A low kick from Fakiiri misses

and Fighter counters with a shoot takedown. Fakiiri fights it but they end up in guard.

Fighter drops back, looking for a kneebar! Fakiiri looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Fakiiri looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Fakiiri!

Fighter is looking for a sweep.
Fakiiri is looking to take a break and control but Fighter is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Fighter gets back to half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fighter looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fighter gets full guard.
Fighter trying to control the position.
Fighter wants to hit a switch here but Fakiiri passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Fighter there!
Fakiiri takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Fakiiri trying to control but Fighter is having none of it.
Fighter tries to get back to half guard but can't.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fighter reaches up to try and control the position but Fakiiri seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Fighter rolls and tries to escape and now Fakiiri has his back!
Fighter is trying to break free.
Fighter trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
Point Fighter overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Fighter rolls, trying to escape but Fakiiri keeps control of the position.
Fakiiri controls the action.

Fakiiri is cranking Fighter's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Fighter! He's tightened the choke and Fighter is tapping out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Nakki Fakiiri!
Nakki Fakiiri decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
