Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Frankie Fraser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergai Katanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Frankie Fraser! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sergai Katanov! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Illya Tyunina and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Katanov shoots in looking for a takedown but Fraser manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Katanov's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Katanov changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Fraser looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Katanov working away. The strikes coming from Katanov are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Katanov trying to control the action but Fraser is working from the bottom. Katanov remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Katanov moves into full mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Katanov is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Fraser can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Fraser tries to hold on but Katanov pushes him away. Fraser is squirming around, avoiding Katanov's attempts to control the action. Fraser tries to hold on but Katanov postures up. Katanov looking to ground and pound but Fraser is blocking nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Katanov has control of Fraser's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Fraser regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Katanov controlling from mount. Fraser tries to hold on but Katanov postures up. Fraser has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fraser is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Katanov gets his way!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Katanov keeps control of the position easily here as Fraser tries to buck him off.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Katanov is riding his opponent, not letting Fraser buck him off. Katanov looking for the choke from the back. Fraser trying to get back to his feet but Katanov is in full control for now. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Sergai Katanov dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Fraser stuffs the takedown attempt from Katanov. Katanov gets slowly back to his feet. Frankie Fraser is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Katanov displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Fraser. Katanov takes the fight into the clinch. Fraser slowing the pace effectively. Katanov leaning against his opponent.
Katanov lands a shot to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Katanov jumps guard but Fraser stands there with Katanov around his waist. Katanov gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Katanov has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Fraser uses from the top position. Katanov working a defensive guard here.
Fraser knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Katanov on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Katanov wants to sweep here but Fraser controlling him for the moment. Fraser wants to pass the guard but Katanov is keeping the position. Katanov throws a couple of heel strikes.
Fraser stands and steps away. Katanov gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Katanov looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fraser is fending him off so far but Katanov persists. Nope, Fraser circles away and we're back to standing. Frankie Fraser has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sergai Katanov. Katanov gets a clinch. Katanov pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Fraser shoots in looking for a takedown. Katanov tries to sprawl out of it but Fraser keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Katanov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Katanov drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Fraser trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! He's managed to get a loose triangle. Katanov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Katanov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Katanov is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Fraser trying to control the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Katanov moves into range and clinches up with Fraser. Katanov has Fraser pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Katanov pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Fraser tumbling to the mat - Katanov dives into Fraser's guard. Katanov missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Katanov gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Katanov has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Fraser goes for a double leg but Katanov avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Katanov continues to drive forward. Fraser tries to keep at a distance but Katanov has taken the fight into the clinch. Fraser can't break the clinch.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Katanov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Sergai Katanov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Fraser misses with a takedown attempt - Katanov sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Katanov throws a looping overhand right but Fraser ducks down to avoid it. Fraser misses with a kick to the body.
Fraser wants to clinch up but Katanov keeps it at a distance. Katanov darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Katanov throwing shots but Fraser is blocking nicely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Katanov thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Katanov prevents Fraser from standing back up.

That's one minute gone in the round. Katanov works his foot free and advances to mount. Katanov looking to control but Fraser is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Fraser can't escape the position.
Katanov tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Katanov throwing strikes here but Fraser is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Katanov takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Katanov misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Katanov stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Katanov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fraser sprawls well. Fraser wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Katanov gets slowly back to his feet. Katanov closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Katanov lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Katanov trying to control the position but Fraser is working away. Fraser tries to buck Katanov off but Katanov is having none of it. Katanov decides to stand back up. Katanov steps back and let's Fraser get back to his feet. Fraser shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Katanov wants to counter the offense by Fraser and move into the clinch position. Fraser tries to clinch up. Katanov tries to counter with a clinch but Fraser shakes him off and moves away. Katanov wants to clinch. Katanov shoots in for a takedown but Fraser shows good takedown defense.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A head kick misses from Fraser. Katanov shoots in but no luck this time. Frankie Fraser has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sergai Katanov. Katanov tries for a takedown but Fraser sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Katanov closes the distance and clinches. Katanov breaks the clinch.
Fraser takes the fight into the clinch. Katanov breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Katanov throws a body punch but Fraser moves out of range. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Katanov shoots in for a double leg but Fraser sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. It looked like Fraser wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Katanov closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Fraser to the mat! Fraser manages to get full guard. Frankie Fraser has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Sergai Katanov is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Fraser will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Katanov passes Fraser's left leg - he's now in half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Sergai Katanov comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Katanov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
