Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Phil Harris! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jack Savage! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Albert Achterberg and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Savage changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Savage goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Savage rushes Harris and presses him up against the cage. Harris is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Savage is defending well for now. Harris blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

It looks like Phil Harris has been cut. Savage avoids a wild elbow strike from Harris. Savage misses with a body punch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Harris has had enough of the clinch but Savage keeps him there for the moment. Savage lands an elbow inside. I was talking to Harris's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Savage lands a hook to the side of the head.
Harris is rocked! Harris takes an elbow to the temple. Oh Harris is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Harris looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Savage has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Harris is trying to push Savage away but Savage has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Savage lands with a light punch inside. Harris takes an elbow to the temple. A right handed body shot lands from Savage.

Savage has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Harris - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Savage, and another! Harris is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!

A very excited looking Jack Savage made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet.
