Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between DonT Bill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brutus Nash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, DonT Bill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Brutus Nash!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Paul Gruel and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bill darts in trying to clinch
and Nash counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Bill closes the distance and clinches.
Bill fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Nash breaks the clinch.
Bill with a lazy takedown attempt
and Nash counters with a stiff right hand.
Nash lands a right hook to the body.
Bill fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for DonT Bill. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nash wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Bill takes one on the button.
Bill fails with a takedown attempt.
Bill has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Bill there as he acknowledges the shot.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bill tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Nash swivels and escapes.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Nash is looking to break free of the clinch but Bill has double underhooks.

Nash has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Bill is trying to keep an underhook but Nash manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Bill is not content to let Nash control the position.

Nash seems to be working for a kimura but Bill defends the submission attempt.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Nash landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Nash lands strikes from half guard.
Bill throws a strike from the bottom but Nash passes into side control!
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Nash working away.
Bill is looking to regain half guard here but Nash keeps moving and retains side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Nash working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Bill is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Nash's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Nash is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Bill has managed to free his arm - good work.
Bill tries to get to full guard but Nash has control of the leg.
Nash thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Bill is looking for a sweep. Nash is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nash is thwarting Bill's attempts to control the position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Nash scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Nash not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Nash lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Bill tries to roll over but Nash keeps him under control.

Nash is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bill is just riding it out for now. Nash eventually gives up the hold.
Bill misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Nash works his way into side control.
Nash tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bill takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Nash wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bill keeps working.

Nash is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Bill has escaped the position, nice work there.
Nash cracks Bill with a big right hand but Bill just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Nash trying to control the position but Bill is working away.
Bill is looking to regain half guard here but Nash keeps moving and retains side control.
Nash working the head with strikes.
Bill is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Bill looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brutus Nash dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.



Bill moves into range and clinches up with Nash.
Nash swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Bill ties up his opponent against the ropes and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Bill no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Nash in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Nash working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Bill is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Brutus Nash has got the better of the ground game so far.
Nash trying to control the position from guard on top but Bill is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Nash postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bill trying to keep a closed guard but Nash is proving a slippery customer.
Nash stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bill swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Bill looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Nash throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bill works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Nash passes Bill's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Nash has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Bill is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Bill taking some punishment here, with Nash in his half guard.
Bill missing with punches from the bottom.
Nash wants to control but Bill is keeping him busy.
Bill trying to hold on to Nash's head to control him but Nash postures up.
Ground and pound from Nash.
Bill has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Nash is working away from the top position though.

Nash is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Bill defends it well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bill makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Bill.
Nash landing with the ground and pound.
Nash sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bill's guard.
Bill is pressing down on Nash's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Nash stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bill swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Nash wants to control from the top but Bill keeps moving.

Nash drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bill manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Nash has Bill in his guard.

Nash is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bill is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Nash is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Bill's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Nash looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Bill puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Nash is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bill's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bill's back!
Nash lands shots from the back.
Bill wants to escape the position.

Nash working for a choke but Bill is defending well.
Nash is landing with strikes. Bill can't take much more of this.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bill is really stuck here.
Nash is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Bill up.

Bill is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Bill trying to control the action but Nash just sinks the hooks in.
Nash lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
I really don't envy Bill right now.
Nash is working the ground and pound. Can Bill escape?

Nash working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brutus Nash showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Nash stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Nash wants it to stay on the feet.
Nash tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bill swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Bill slips under a jab.
Bill changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Nash throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bill.
Bill shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nash sprawls well. Nash wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bill gets slowly back to his feet.
Bill darts in trying to clinch
and Nash connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nash lands with a straight right. Bill didn't see that one coming.

Nash drops Bill with a left right combo! Nash follows him down to the ground into side control.


Bill is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nash working the body and head with strikes.
Oh Bill is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bill wants to control but Nash postures up.
Nash lands a huge shot from side control! Bill is out cold! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Brutus Nash!
Brutus Nash gave a mention to GREEN!160 in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
