Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kekoa Konani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Noel Rose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Konani comes to the ring accompanied by Hawaii '78. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Josh West, Roger Salmon and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rose takes a swing at Konani's ribcage but misses.
Rose forces Konani back against the ropes and clinches.
Rose misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Konani.
Rose looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Rose throws a knee to the head but misses.
Rose gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Konani.
Konani is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Konani jumps into guard, dragging Rose to the mat.
Konani has a closed guard, preventing Rose from standing up.
Rose slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rose wants to control from the top but Konani keeps moving.

Rose wanted to stand there but Konani had control of the position.

Rose wants to get up but he can't break Konani's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Konani pulls Rose in close to prevent any damage.

Konani had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rose defends it easily.
Konani is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Konani bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rose's guard.
Rose escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Konani gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Konani wants to control from the top but Rose keeps moving.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Konani is fighting to break Rose's control of his arms but Rose is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Rose is trying to hold Konani in close to prevent damage but Konani has managed to pass into half guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

It looks like Konani is going to stand back up.
Konani tries to pass the half guard into mount. Rose knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Rose throws a series of punches but Konani avoids them all with ease.

A close round but Noel Rose will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Konani shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rose defends it nicely.

Rose has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Konani to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Rose is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Konani pulls down on the head and he's put Rose to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Kekoa Konani!
After winning the bout, Kekoa Konani thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
