Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kalesh Nikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Gee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kalesh Nikov could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Tony Gee's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kalesh Nikov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tony Gee!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Ryoma Takatsuka and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nikov moves out of range of the strikes.
Kalesh Nikov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A big right from Gee misses.
Nikov falls off balance throwing a combination
and Gee cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Nikov looks to land a left hand but Gee moved out of range nicely.
Gee cracks Nikov with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Nikov scores with a shot to the body.

Nikov shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gee's guard.
Gee looking to control.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Nikov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Nikov postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Nikov won't allow Gee to sweep him here.

Nikov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gee has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nikov has managed to get both his arms back between Gee's legs - danger averted.

Nikov trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Gee wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Nikov wants to pass the guard but Gee is keeping the position.
Gee can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Nikov controls the pace.

Gee working for a triangle but Nikov defends it easily.
Nikov trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Gee working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nikov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Nikov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Gee looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Nikov lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Nikov slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Nikov trying to control but Gee is working from the bottom.

Gee looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Nikov passes into side control.
Nikov scores with a couple of short elbows.

Nikov tries for a kimura but Gee is defending well.
Gee is trying to control Nikov's posture but Nikov avoids it.
Gee taking punishment in the form of punches.
Nikov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Gee prevents Nikov from moving into mount.
Nikov wants to control but Gee is keeping him busy.
Nikov landing strikes.
Gee takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.


It looks like Tony Gee has been cut.
Gee gets back to half guard.
Nikov trying to control the action but Gee is working from the bottom.

Gee tries to kick Nikov off but Nikov keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Gee is looking to control Nikov's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gee avoid being mounted?
Nikov looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
We've been hearing that Nikov has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Nikov working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.


Gee is rocked!
Gee makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Gee.
Gee is still in real trouble! Can Nikov finish him?

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Gee pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Gee seems to have recovered his senses.
Gee defending well as Nikov loads up on a big left hand.
Gee takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Nikov looks to land a body kick but Gee moved away.

Gee gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Nikov to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Gee is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Gee wants to sweep but no luck.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nikov in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Gee is looking to sweep but instead, Nikov has passed into half guard.
Nikov tries to pass to full mount but Gee defends it.
Kalesh Nikov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Gee is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Nikov's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Nikov's back!
Nikov looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Nikov is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

I really don't envy Nikov right now.

Gee doesn't have the hooks in and Nikov manages to turn into his guard.

Gee looking for a guillotine here but Nikov defends easily.
Nikov not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Nikov is in close to Gee's body, working some short punches and elbows.


That has opened up Tony Gee's cut even more.

Nikov is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Gee can do to turn this around?

Gee had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Nikov defends it easily.
Gee looking for a sweep. Not yet Gee, not yet.
Nikov trying to control the position from guard on top but Gee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Nikov wants to pass the guard but Gee is keeping the position.

Gee is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Nikov defends well.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Nikov wants to control from the top but Gee keeps moving.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!


Nikov cracks Gee with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes.


The cut above Tony Gee's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Nikov misses with a lunging right hand
and Gee counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.


It looks like Kalesh Nikov has been cut.
Gee misses with a looping left.
Nikov throws a front kick that sends Gee stumbling back into the ropes.

Nikov gets the takedown into side control.
Gee is looking to reverse the position.
Gee is still trying to improve position.
Nikov controls the position from side control.
Nikov gets to mount! Gee was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gee wants to hold on but Nikov pushes him away.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Nikov cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Tony Gee's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:43 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Kalesh Nikov!
After winning the bout, Kalesh Nikov thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
