Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mitar Miric (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miric is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Mitar Miric - Ne svani zoro mlada. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mitar Miric! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Steve Erwin and Ron Honeybunn.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miric thuds his right hand into Jackson's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
It looks like John Jackson has been cut. Miric slips a straight right by Jackson. Miric ducks under a wild hook from Jackson. Miric looks like he wants to counter punch here. Jackson misses the body punch and Miric counters with a left and a right that stings Jackson. Jackson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Miric is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jackson. Jackson appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Miric lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jackson circles away quickly and effectively. Jackson drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. and Miric counters with a nice right hand that sends Jackson toppling to the canvas! Jackson scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Miric finish him?! This has been an exciting period of action! Miric looks to land a right hand but Jackson moved out of range. An attempted straight right counter from Jackson misses the target. Jackson drives through with a takedown into Miric's guard. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Miric wants to improve his position but Jackson is controlling well.
Miric felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Jackson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Jackson is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Jackson is pressing down on Miric's thigh, looking to free his foot. Miric is holding on for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Miric is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. A punch lands to the side of Miric 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Jackson dives in for a single leg takedown but Miric sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Miric paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

John Jackson's cut is getting worse. Jackson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Miric counters with a stiff right hand. Miric lands a big right hand that sends Jackson crashing to the mat! Miric stays standing though and waves Jackson back to his feet! This has been an exciting period of action! Miric throws an overhand right that lands on Jackson's shoulder, as Jackson tries to avoid the shot. Jackson half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Jackson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

John Jackson's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Jackson with a poor takedown and Miric counters by clinching up. Mitar Miric dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Jackson is looking to improve his position but Miric isn't that keen on the idea. Miric sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Jackson is looking to get to half guard. Miric controlling his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mitar Miric showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Jackson takes a shot to the head. Miric is fighting off a takedown attempt but Jackson is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Miric to the mat. Miric regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Jackson missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Miric lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Miric must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Miric's corner is telling him to maintain position. Miric advances position into side control! Jackson trying to remain calm as Miric controls from the top position. Jackson prevents Miric from moving into mount. Miric just content to control the position. Jackson tries to improve position but can't. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. John Jackson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson stops Miric from passing to mount. Miric trying to control the position but Jackson is working away. Miric moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. John Jackson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Miric's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. You can see the frustration on Jackson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Miric scores with the left hand. Jackson knows he should have avoided that one. Jackson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Miric circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jackson gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Miric. Miric closes the distance and clinches. Jackson tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Miric's elbow. Jackson stalling.

And that's the end of the fight! Mitar Miric comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Miric winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
