The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diego pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Venger's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Diego connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Venger scrambles back to his feet.

Diego has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Don Diego seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Diego looks to land a combination but Venger avoids it well.
Venger throws a big counter combination but Diego scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Venger is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Diego.

Diego throws a front kick that sends Venger stumbling back into the cage.

Venger has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Venger there as he acknowledges the shot.

Venger throws a hook to the side of Diego's head but Diego sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Venger takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

The fighters circle momentarily. Diego darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Diego lands with a cross.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Diego! Venger is out on his feet! Diego rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Venger is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Venger is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Don Diego bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
