Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
12 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sly Guy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Coleston!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guy circles away from the clinch attempt
and Guy counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Coleston tries for a takedown but Guy circles away easily
and Guy counters with a left to the body.
Guy throws a nice head kick!
Sly Guy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Guy gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Coleston tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Guy smiles and moves away.
Guy stalks Coleston and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Coleston's face. Coleston staggers backwards, shaken.
Coleston fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Sly Guy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Coleston.
Guy moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Guy clinches.
Our sources have told us that Guy has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Guy breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Guy throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Coleston's head.
Coleston pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Coleston has his takedown stuffed
and Guy counters with a series of strikes. Coleston will be more careful next time no doubt.
Coleston is rocked!
Guy connects with a right that clearly hurt Coleston. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Guy proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Coleston collapses and taps out under the pressure!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sly Guy!
Our winner, Sly Guy, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
