Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Adam McQuaid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jase Hein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jase Hein has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Adam McQuaid! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jase Hein! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McQuaid dips down and scores with a jab to the body. McQuaid stuns Hein with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. McQuaid closes the distance and lands a one-two. McQuaid jabs Hein to the body, keeping him at a distance. Hein showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from McQuaid.
Hein closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! McQuaid is trying to buck Hein off. Hein is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Hein tries to advance to mount but McQuaid denies him. McQuaid is letting Hein control him for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hein stands up. Hein gets a clinch. Hein breaks from the clinch.
Hein shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with McQuaid but McQuaid pushes him off and we're back to square one. Nice takedown defense from McQuaid. No joy for Hein on that attempt. McQuaid works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Hein shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. McQuaid swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Adam McQuaid has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jase Hein.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McQuaid defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hein. Hein shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has McQuaid pinned against the cage. McQuaid gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. McQuaid definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Hein looks winded! Hein takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Hein dives in for a single leg takedown but McQuaid sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Adam McQuaid seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McQuaid scores with a jab to the head.
McQuaid lands a lovely overhand right. McQuaid lands with a nice combination. Hein backs away looking to recover. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hein takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. McQuaid uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. A combination from McQuaid does no damage. McQuaid goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hein takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
McQuaid throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Hein's head. McQuaid uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Hein has time to react.
Hein is rocked! McQuaid scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Hein is still on wobbly legs! Can McQuaid finish him? McQuaid is pawing at Hein, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Hein's nose. Hein is badly hurt! McQuaid pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Hein tries desperately to hold on but McQuaid is relentless in his assault! As Hein receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls McQuaid away and this one is in the books!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Adam McQuaid!
