The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Stewart circles away quickly and effectively.
As Diaz backs away, Stewart returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Diaz tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Stewart was well out of range. Poor timing from Diaz.
Stewart tried to counter with a leg kick but Diaz avoided it.
Diaz lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Stewart backs up against the cage.
Diaz throws a series of punches but Stewart moves out of range.
Diaz throws a nice looking combination but Stewart bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Stewart is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Diaz.
Diaz lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Stewart is rocked!
Diaz connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Stewart to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Diaz!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jonas Diaz!
Jonas Diaz bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
