Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Excellent takedown into side control there by Jimenez. Jimenez working away. Jimenez tries for a kimura but Dickerson is defending well. You can see the frustration on Dickerson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Dickerson tries to improve position but can't. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dickerson keeping his opponent close. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dickerson is trying to control Jimenez's posture but Jimenez avoids it. Dickerson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's one minute gone in the round. The strikes coming from Jimenez are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Jimenez trying to control the action but Dickerson is working from the bottom. Jimenez happy to just control the position for now. Dickerson trying to control but Jimenez flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! Jimenez missing with strikes from the back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Dickerson is keeping busy.
Dickerson is trapped and Jimenez is scoring with shots to the head and body. Dickerson defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Jimenez's arms. Dickerson just trying to survive but Jimenez is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Dickerson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Jimenez is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Dickerson tries to break free.
Jimenez tightening his grip on Dickerson, looking for the choke. Dickerson trying to control the position but Jimenez manages to sink in the hooks.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here.
Dickerson is trying to get back to his feet but Jimenez has full control of the position and if anything, Dickerson has just worked his way into a worse spot. Dickerson defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Jimenez's arms. Dickerson just trying to survive but Jimenez is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jimenez has the hooks in. Dickerson is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Dickerson defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Jimenez is striking from the back but Dickerson escapes and manages to recover to half guard. Dickerson is looking to control Jimenez's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dickerson avoid being mounted? The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Dickerson keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Raul Jimenez dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Dickerson avoids the body shot from Jimenez.
Dickerson dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Jimenez fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dickerson, pushing him back against the cage. Dickerson is trying to pull guard but Jimenez turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Nice body punch from Jimenez - that landed with a thud.
Jimenez escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Horrible takedown attempt by Dickerson or perhaps it was just good defense by Jimenez, which made it look bad. Jimenez throws a counter combo. Jimenez leaves Dickerson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Devon Dickerson. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dickerson misses with a body shot
and Jimenez counters with a three punch combo that has Dickerson backing up. Dickerson nods at Jimenez to acknowledge the strikes. Dickerson lands with a kick to the temple. Jimenez shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Jimenez darts in and clinches Dickerson up against the cage. Dickerson gets control of Jimenez's arms and successfully pulls guard. Dickerson will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jimenez seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Dickerson keeping moving, preventing Jimenez from controlling successfully. Raul Jimenez has got the better of the ground game so far. Jimenez forces his way into half guard. Jimenez is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Dickerson is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
