Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between David Cottle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Magus Arbenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Cottle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Magus Arbenson!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arbenson feints and then cracks Cottle's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Cottle down.
Arbenson lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Arbenson throws and low kick but Cottle moves out of range easily.
Cottle checks a leg kick.
Arbenson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Cottle takes one to the chin there.
Cottle chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Arbenson can pounce on him.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
A short body shot lands from Arbenson as the two fighters clinch.

Arbenson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cottle swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Cottle feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Arbenson wants to sweep but no luck.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Cottle drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Arbenson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Cottle has Arbenson in his guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Despite being in the dominant position, Magus Arbenson just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Cottle fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Magus Arbenson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

You can see the frustration on Cottle's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
