Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Smasher Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Hawk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Smasher Sanchez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Hawk! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hawk scores with a takedown into Sanchez's guard. Sanchez looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Sanchez lands some strikes from the bottom. Sanchez trying to strike off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sanchez not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Sanchez looking for a sweep. Not yet Sanchez, not yet. Hawk throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Hawk stopping the sweep attempt from Sanchez.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hawk drives through with a takedown into guard. Sanchez is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hawk is controlling him. Hawk wants to pass the guard but Sanchez is keeping the position. Hawk with a flurry of punches that miss. Hawk is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Hawk preventing the sweep. Hawk scoring with punches to the head and body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Sanchez is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Sanchez is breathing heavily. Sanchez manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Hawk bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Hawk makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Sanchez wants to sweep here but Hawk controlling him for the moment. Hawk pushing down on Sanchez's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Sanchez is looking to improve his position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hawk lands a nice short elbow. Hawk prevents Sanchez from standing back up.
Hawk seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Hawk looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sanchez with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hawk connects with a nice short shot to Sanchez's temple. Hawk has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Hawk frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Hawk unloading with bombs! Sanchez takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Sanchez is rocked! Sanchez working to try and regain half guard.
Oh Sanchez is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Hawk with shots to the head and body - Sanchez looks very uncomfortable down there. Hawk fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Hawk putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sanchez takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Hawk's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mike Hawk!
