Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Adam Budgell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roger Bingham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Budgell kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is I D.A.R.E. David Bowie To Drive Drunk. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Adam Budgell! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Roger Bingham! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Yves DeLean and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Budgell misses with a takedown attempt - Bingham sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Bingham shoots and misses and Budgell counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Bingham's guard now. Budgell lands a couple of digs. Budgell has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Budgell drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Budgell jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Bingham looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Budgell prevents Bingham from getting back to his feet. Budgell forces his way into half guard. Bingham looks gassed! Budgell passes the guard and advances to mount! Budgell lands a nice shot to the head. Budgell works his way to his opponent's back.

That's one minute gone in the round. Oooh a big shot gets through from Budgell. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Bingham is trying to defend against the choke here but Budgell has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Budgell Tightens the hold and Bingham taps out furiously! Budgell displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
