Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Everette (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tien Shinhan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shinhan comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Skillet - Forsaken kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shinhan gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Everette.
Everette avoids the head kick by Shinhan.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Everette shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Shinhan sprawls well. Shinhan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Everette gets slowly back to his feet.

Shinhan looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

We've been hearing reports that Everette has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Shinhan lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Everette has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Everette and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Shinhan can do anything to dispel that myth.

That was a close round but I would say that Matt Everette will probably get the nod.

Shinhan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
A big strike lands for Shinhan! That's really hurt Everette and he's turned his back - Shinhan keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Shinhan jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!

Tien Shinhan was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
