Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dong Long! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tony Kim! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Emerson Jorge and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Long tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Long gets caught flat footed, as Kim shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Long working for a triangle but Kim defends it easily.
Kim trying to control the position from guard on top but Long is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Long is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Long looking for a guillotine here but Kim defends easily.
Long thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kim seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Kim thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Long lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Long looking to pass the guard. Long advances position into side control! You can see the frustration on Kim's face as Long controls the position. Long tries to advance to mount but Kim denies him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Long tries to score with some ground and pound. Kim controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Kim regains half guard there - taking advantage of Long's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Long wants to pass to mount but Kim is defending the position. Kim tries to roll over but Long keeps him under control. Long works his way into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Long creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Kim sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Kim is not content to let Long control the position. Long misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Long goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Kim has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Long but great work by Kim. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Long is looking for a sweep. Kim tries for a kimura but Long is defending well. Kim looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Dong Long will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Long passes Kim's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Long is pressing down on Kim's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kim is holding on for now. Long uses his free foot to push down on Kim's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Kim.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Long fails to move to back control. Kim wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Long gets his hands free as Kim looks to control. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Long's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Kim shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Long as he avoids it easily. Long looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Kim! You can see the frustration on Kim's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Long trying to control the position but Kim is working away. Dong Long overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Kim tries to bench press Long off him but Long keeps the position. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Long controlling the position from side mount. Kim stops Long from passing to mount. Kim tries to bench press Long off him but Long keeps the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kim shoots in but no luck this time. A telegraphed right hand from Long misses the target. Long thuds a left hand into Kim's body. Tony Kim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kim fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Long avoids it really well and circles away. Dong Long has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Kim. Kim goes for a double leg but Long avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Long continues to drive forward. Kim takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Long misses with an uppercut. Long throws a head kick but Kim moves out of range.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kim has a takedown stuffed. Long tries to counter with a takedown but Kim is quick to defend against it. Long shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Long looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Long works his foot free and advances to mount. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Long controlling from mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Dong Long showed his dominance in that final round. Well Long has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Dong Long! A very excited looking Dong Long rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
