Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eric Eel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Beattie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eric Eel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chris Beattie! The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Darius Henderson and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beattie paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Beattie has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Eel ducks under a wild hook from Beattie. Eel appears to be looking for a counter takedown. No luck for Eel with that takedown attempt. Eel has a takedown stuffed. Beattie throws out a counter right but Eel avoids it with no problem. Beattie lands a right hook to the body.
Eel shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Beattie but Beattie pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eric Eel. That's going to take a lot out of him. Beattie displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Eel. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Beattie lands the left hand. Beattie jabbing away but nothing is landing. Eel shoots in looking for a takedown. Beattie tries to sprawl out of it but Eel keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Beattie manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beattie scores with a nice strike. Beattie bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Eel is rocked! Beattie ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Eel's jaw. Eel's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Beattie does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Chris Beattie! Chris Beattie seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
