Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brian Mc Auley! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hank Reardon! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, John Mangel and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mc Auley drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Mc Auley pushes down on Reardon's leg and manages to get into half guard. Reardon is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Mc Auley has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Mc Auley wants to take Reardon's back but he can't do it this time. Reardon tries to reverse the position but Mc Auley maintains control. Mc Auley wants to control the pace but Reardon is squirming around nicely. Reardon really wants to buck Mc Auley off and get back to his feet. Mc Auley is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Reardon can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Reardon can do anything to dispel that myth. Mc Auley wants to finish this one by submission but Reardon is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Mc Auley.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mc Auley has isolated one of Reardon's arms. Reardon looking to fight him off but Mc Auley twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
