Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ray Finkle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luivel Romero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Romero has chosen Don Omar - Danza Kuduro ft. Lucenzo as his entrance music. Luivel Romero told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

33 - 16 - 1, fighting out of London, Luivel Romero! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Romero dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Romero lands a jab to the nose. Some bone on bone action there as Romero checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Romero fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Finkle manages to avoid it. Finkle throws a wild body kick that Romero sees coming a mile off. Finkle checks the leg kick nicely there.
Romero cracks Finkle with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Finkle slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Finkle jabs Romero to the body, keeping him at a distance. A head kick by Romero misses and Finkle makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Romero darts in trying to clinch and Finkle counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. A momentary lapse in concentration from Finkle enables Romero to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Finkle manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Romero looking to pass the guard. Finkle looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Romero trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Romero has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's one minute gone in the round. Romero stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Finkle swivels though and keeps the full guard. Finkle working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Romero. Finkle is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Finkle with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Romero wants to control but Finkle is keeping busy and won't allow it. Romero tries to roll over but Finkle keeps him under control. Romero actively working from the bottom here.

Romero is staying active underneath Finkle, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Finkle thows a huge punch but Romero dodges it nicely.

Romero throws a leg kick and Finkle makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Romero really felt that one! Finkle sizes up Romero with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Finkle misses with an uppercut. Finkle throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Romero thows a left - swing and a miss! Romero blocks a jab. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. An inside leg kick lands from Romero. Romero tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Finkle was well out of range. Poor timing from Romero. A swing and a miss from Romero. Finkle looks to land a right hand but Romero moved out of range. Romero takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Romero tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Romero fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Finkle checks it well. Finkle checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Luivel Romero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Romero takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Romero throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Finkle throws a big counter combination but Romero scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A slapping body kick lands there for Finkle. Romero misses with an uppercut. A head kick from Romero lands but Finkle takes it in his stride. Finkle cracks Romero with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Romero throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Finkle is looking for a counter combo. Finkle lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. A chopping leg kick lands by Finkle. Finkle works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Finkle throws a shot from downtown. Romero moves away and avoids it. Romero misses with a body kick. Finkle jabbing away but nothing is landing. Romero tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Finkle tries a head kick but it misses.
Romero throws a big shot that misses. Romero lands a nice shot that snaps Finkle's head back.
Finkle moves out of range of the strikes. Romero lands a right hook to the body.
Romero misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ray Finkle dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Romero misses with an uppercut. Finkle with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Romero connects with a good right hand that stumbles Finkle. Finkle circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Finkle lands a two punch combo.

Finkle ducks under a wild hook from Romero. Finkle jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Romero misses with a leg kick and Finkle counters with a series of strikes. Romero will be more careful next time no doubt. Finkle connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Finkle connects with an inside leg kick. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Romero lands a nice looking body shot.
Good standup being displayed there by Finkle as he connects with a hook. Finkle is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Romero can do to turn this around? Finkle takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Romero misses with a straight right. Finkle lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Ray Finkle is winning the standup battle so far. Finkle lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Romero tries to work over Finkle's front leg with a kick but Finkle checks it. Romero blocks a head kick by Finkle.
Romero is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Ray Finkle is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Romero throws a lazy head kick and Finkle counters with a nice body shot. Romero lands a leg kick that knocks Finkle off balance momentarily. Finkle lands with a thumping leg kick.
Romero delivers a nice body kick. Nice takedown defense from Finkle. No joy for Romero on that attempt. Romero misses with a leg kick and Finkle counters with a nice uppercut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Finkle stuffs the takedown attempt from Romero. Romero gets slowly back to his feet. Ray Finkle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luivel Romero. Finkle gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Romero lands a body shot in the clinch.

Finkle pushes Romero back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Finkle lands an elbow that stopped Romero in his tracks for a moment. Finkle scores with a knee to the head.
Romero is rocked! Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Finkle obliges. Romero is still on wobbly legs! Can Finkle finish him? Finkle connects with a nasty looking knee right to Romero's face.
Finkle's Muay Thai looks sharper than normal. He has obviously been working on it in the gym. Romero managing to block the knees to the body from Finkle.
Finkle lands with a short shot to the head.
That has opened up Luivel Romero's cut even more. A head punch on the inside from Romero fails to land. Finkle stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Finkle blocks a body shot from Romero. Finkle doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Finkle tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Finkle working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Finkle lands an elbow inside that Romero shrugs off. Finkle working the clinch nicely. Romero is working for position but Finkle cracks him with a big knee to the head! Romero crumples up against the cage and Finkle lands two more shots before the ref can save Romero! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee & Punches). Ray Finkle! A determined Ray Finkle didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
